MENTORING
The Advocates are a gathering of African American male golfers for the purpose of raising funds for organizations that benefit the African American community. The organization also provides an opportunity for African American men to network and fellowship for the benefit of the community.

Utilizing our common passion, varied talents and collective resources, to garner the corporate and private support needed to be advocates for education, health and economic development for African Americans, especially youth.
HEALTH + WELLNESS
Established in 2004, the Advocates are comprised of African American men who seek to improve the quality of life in our communities and to enhance educational and cultural opportunities through pooling together our collective resources.  As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit advocacy organization, the Advocates recognize the challenges confronting our community today and will endeavor to provide leadership and support.  In essence, the Advocates seek to create an environment where African Americans are motivated to achieve and empower themselves to become economic and cultural shareholders in the communities we serve.
EDUCATION
ART MCCLURE SCHOLARSHIP
Art was one of the founding board members of the Advocates who passed away recently.  A significant part of his life was spent working to provide educational opportunities for young people.  This scholarship will be a living memorial to Art.  The Advocates will award an Art McClure scholarships to a young man and a young woman who are doing well academically and  are working hard to make their communities better.  The scholarship winners will come from the golf organizations we have supported over the years.
